recommendation of this contractor by Matt Miller, a local realtor "A friend recommended this builder. We were impressed with what they built for them. When we called them, they came to our home the next day and explained us every last detail and the materials they recommended. We had other estimates for the job, but they offered us better quality. Several weeks later, everything was complete. Our home now looks unbelievably amazing." Matt & Linda Miller, Pembroke Pines, FL. renovated home in palm-beach-gardens garage construction in pembroke-pines2 "Thank you so much for doing such a great job! Everybody loves the new look of our house. Your crew was incredible and I really appreciate your work." Brian Lee, Boca Raton, FL. brian-lee "This company took care of the whole process. They measured everything, obtained the building permit, and installed it all. I was really blessed finding this company cause everything was handled for us in a very professional way." Charles Taylor, Hollywood, FL. charles-taylor "This company offered us such an attractive quote and schedule, making our choice extremely easy.... They provided an exceptional, spotless, and very professional service. We are so glad we chose them!" Paul Devis, Key Biscayne, FL. From 2012: "It was great working with this contractor- he is responsive and responsible. He moved as quickly as possible to get the job completed." From 2013: 2nd time we've hired them
"We used them previously on a major renovation job (repair and updating of the bathroom and kitchen)... down to the studs. They do great work and are easy to work with.
All the work was done at a high quality level and as close as was possible to the original planned completion date. I highly recommend them."
From 2014: "Wonderful, patient, kind, & EXPLAINS EVERYTHING IN MINUTE DETAIL. Every step of the way he is checking with you, asking you, making sure the progress is to your specifications. He does not cut corners and the materials he uses are top notch - he was focused on the job being done right.

Suffice it say, I am extremely happy with the quality of the work, the prices and the relationship he and I have forged. He has become part of the family. The thing is, I have heard him on the phone with other clients and he treats them the same way! This man is a God send. I think this is the 3rd review I have ever written in my life - he is worth it."
From 2015 (from the owner of another company in the construction field): "We've worked with them several times. Every time we do, we have a wonderful experience. They are punctual, committed, and professional. We've never had a mishap or bad experience. We will definitely work again with them in the near future." Garage remodeling & renovations (from storage & windows to floor resurfacing)

In some cases, people may not just be using their garage as covered parking for a vehicle and would like to use the garage for living space, but they have a legal requirement to keep some covered parking. So, more and more homeowners are modifying their garage for some secondary function (without removing the ability to use the space as a garage to park a car). To make the flooring more attractive, some homeowners choose to stain the concrete or add resin or epoxy (plus rugs). Overhead lighting can be added as well as natural light through windows (as well as extra layers of insulation to the walls). Storage (or even an entertainment center) can be installed in the walls or overhead. Legally, it is still a garage though (which means that these renovations won't raise your property taxes like a full garage conversion). Converting FROM a garage (to a bedroom, sunroom, living room, office space etc)

This is a typical example of a garage conversion project. The interior of what used to be a large 2-car garage was completely renovated for use as an extra master bedroom with attached bathroom. As you can see, the garage doors were replaced with a full wall featuring a simple row of windows. Adding the exterior wall was one of the easiest aspects of this job which included installation of new plumbing, electrical, HVAC, plus raising the floor to be level with the rest of the home. This is a very simple example of converting a detached garage to an office (with lots of extra storage built in to the walls). The garage doors were replaced with French doors that let in a lot of light from the South. The interior was remodeled, including new flooring.

Conversions TO a garage (like enclosing a carport, patio, porch, or sun room)

Here is a simple carport conversion which was fast and inexpensive. To enclose the carport, the garage builders added one side wall and then framed off the front for the installation of the new garage door. There was also some minor electrical work for the garage door opener. Most of the requests that we get to convert a carport to a garage are like this one: quick and easy. Here is a more complex carport conversion (plus some other renovations). The buyer of this home wanted a set of improvements and repairs completed, then they listed the home to sell again (to flip it). This carport conversion job was closer to what it takes when building a detached garage- much more than just adding a wall and a garage door. For instance, the new garage needed a full roof that fit with the roofline of the rest of the house. This homeowner also had the contractor install new windows and doors. (Note that the two pictures are at different angles, so that is why the tree that is prominent in the bottom photo is way off to the right in the top photo.)

HomeAdvisor reports that most garages built in Florida cost between
$33,000 and $53,000 to build, with an average of $41,000.
However, that depends a lot on the details of your project.
Averages like those can be biased heavily by a few projects.
(Prior to 2016, HomeAdvisor's reported average was under $30,000.)
Many people in Southeast Florida ask for garages made of
concrete block, which can go from around $150/sf to over $200/sf.
